In 1917, Bank of China issued redeemable notes of Tianjin in one yuan, five yuan and ten yuan printed by American Bank Note Company. Most of these notes circulated in Tianjin and a minority in Liaoning and Jilin provinces. In 1918, such notes in 50 yuan and 100 yuan were issued, circulating in Tianjin only.
